Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, there’s been a noticeable change in how major brands are supporting conscious consumerism. Consumers are now very interested in the environmental and social impacts of their purchases so much so that they are willing to forgo the more well known brands in order to purchase environmentally friendly products. 

The “woke” consumer cares about the environment, however isn’t willing to stop shopping completely and do we blame them? Instead they are choosing to shop more consciously. In 2021 electronic waste generation went up to 57.4 million metric tonnes in comparison to the 55.5 million tonnes produced in 2020.
